About Me

London/UK, British Cantonese, She/Her

I was first exposed to video games at the age of 5, when my siblings and I would crowd around my father at his computer playing Tomb Raider. The wheels were set in motion for interest to grow into passion, and I devoured every game I could get my hands on (by begging, borrowing, scouring the internet and searching my house for dusty CDs). I dedicated thousands of hours of my childhood and teenage years to a huge variety of games from too many genres to list (I tried to list them all for good SEO but it looked super tryhard).

If we're counting it, my first venture into making games of my own was around 11 years old, creating custom maps for StarCraft and Warcraft III. From there, I moved on to using engines such as Adventure Game Studio, RPG Maker and Inform, which expanded my interest in design and programming. At Hills Road Sixth Form College, I completed my AS/A-Levels in computer science, mathematics, photography and physics while enjoying a lot of hobbies alongside gaming such as drawing, playing piano and breakdancing.

In 2013, I moved to London to further study computing at King's College London with the intention of becoming a software engineer. I soon realised that I only really enjoyed programming games, and also felt creatively unfulfilled. In 2015, I began my Bachelor's degree in Games Design at LCC, University of the Arts London. I discovered the gratification of designing fun and thoughtful experiences for other people to enjoy.

During university, I also worked at Meltdown London Esports Bar managing its social media, hosting tournaments and serving drinks. It was awesome to give back to the extremely passionate esports community that had become my family since moving to London. In 2016, I started playing Hearthstone competitively and made trips across the UK and Europe to compete in tournaments. In 2017, I qualified for the WESG Women Hearthstone Europe & CIS Finals where I secured 3rd place to represent the UK at the Grand Final in China, eventually finishing Top 4 in the world.

By 2018, esports was growing rapidly and I was excited to explore further opportunities in the industry. After completing my degree, I joined GINX Esports TV as their social media & community manager, became involved in producing TV shows and featured occasionally as presenter and interviewer. In 2019, I joined Betway Esports to manage and produce content for a variety of online platforms targeting League of Legends and Dota 2 communities across UK, Europe, South America and China.

During the COVID lockdown of the UK in 2020, I decided it was time to fulfil my dream of becoming a game developer. I joined the Limit Break mentorship program, self-studied and worked on my portfolio whenever I had time outside work. In 2021, I started working at Supermassive Games as a Level Designer and we shipped Switchback VR in 2023. My journey led to Quell as a Game Designer, where we shipped Shardfall in 2024.

I have travelled to new places, learned so many things and made so many precious memories with friends and family all because of video games. I am driven by my desire to share my love for games to create those experiences for others too.
